An Awe-Inspiring Sight

When people speak of colors,

They seldom mention white,

But when Winter works her magic,

It’s an awe-inspiring sight.

When the snow is gently falling

And all the landscape’s white,

Earth’s a portrait made in Heaven

When all is calm and bright.

It’s a time for making snowmen

And angels in the snow

As the temperature keeps falling

And rivers cease their flow.

Icicles shine like crystals

In the purple twilight’s glow,

And every cobweb is frosted

With flakes of ice and snow.

It’s time for celebration

When earth is colored white,

For when winter works her magic,

It’s an awe-inspiring sight.
