Lillian Geise and on the new dishwasher and roof for the

The rosebud on the pulpit this
morning is to announce the birth of Lillian Odessa Geise.
She was born on March 17, 2008, weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and
was 21 1/4 inches long. She is the daughter of Brad and
Ashely Geise, the granddaughter of Arthur and Gwen
Buckaloo and the great-granddaughter of Eugene and
Priscilla Buckaloo

Spring Urban Ministry Food Drive to be held at the
Stony Creek Food Lion this Saturday, March 29 from 10-6.

can Volunteer.
Love Offering: We will be
receiving a love offering for Melanie Wooden during
worship on March 30th to thank her for her
ministry at Springwood and to assist her in paying the
many medical bills she faces.
Communion Changes: Springwood is
moving to a bi-monthly celebration of the Lord’s Supper
(instead of quarterly) for this year. The revised schedule
is: April 6th, June 1st, August 3rd,
October 5th (World Communion), and December 7th.
There will be a Relay for Life
luncheon on April 6th sponsored by the Missions
Committee. The Relay for Life is an exciting local
activity sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It’s an
overnight event with money raised supporting cancer
research and cancer patients. This year's Relay will be
May 16-17. Jennifer Sutherland is participating with her
employer and walking in the Guilford County Relay. For
lunch, Vegetable beef soup, cornbread, brownies, and drink
will be served. Donations accepted for the American Cancer
Society.
Mexico Mission Trip: Springwood
is sending another team to Mexico on a mission trip this
summer. It has been scheduled for the week of June 14th-20th.
If you are interested in going to witness, serve, and
worship with our Mexican brothers and sisters, speak with
Rev. Kerns.
WV Mission Trip: Springwood is
forming a second mission team this summer. From August
9-16, they will go to West Virginia, stay at a
Presbyterian Church, and work each day performing house
repairs for a needy family. Many of the youth and youth
leaders are going, but it is open to persons of all ages.
If you are interested in going, speak with John Marion or
Vickie Williams.
