"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."

In the church, when the going gets tough, sometimes the Christian may be tempted to give up and go home. Jesus knew there would be days like that, so he told his disciples that we’re tied together
like branches on a vine, climbers on a rope, or preschoolers linked together for safety to cross a road. At Springwood Presbyterian Church, we share the love of Jesus Christ through our actions toward our neighbors.
Friends in Christ, we are tied together by the Holy Spirit, who calls us to trust God and move forward on the journey of faith. Amen.
